Tour Plan
Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Moshi, followed by a scenic drive to Shimbwe Village, located on the lush lower slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro.
From Shimbwe, embark on a guided hike through the vibrant Chagga countryside toward Materuni Waterfalls. This approximately 2-hour trek takes you through rolling green hills, banana plantations, and small flowing streams, offering breathtaking scenery and a glimpse into traditional village life.
Upon arrival at the waterfalls, take time to relax, capture photos, or enjoy a refreshing swim in the natural pool beneath the falls.
Afterward, continue your hike to Materuni Village, where a delicious traditional hot lunch will be served. In the afternoon, participate in an interactive Chagga coffee-making experience, learning the process from fresh beans to a locally brewed cup of coffee.
As the day winds down, relax and take in panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting). In the evening, enjoy dinner followed by a cozy bonfire, sharing stories under the stars. Accommodation: Materuni Homes

After an early breakfast, depart Materuni and drive toward Kikuletwa Hot Springs, commonly known as Chemka Oasis. Along the way, pass through the expansive TPC Sugar Plantation, one of the region’s key agricultural areas. Observe the changing landscape as it transitions from the lush highlands of Kilimanjaro to open plains dotted with baobab and acacia trees.
Upon arrival at the hot springs, enjoy ample time to swim in the crystal-clear, turquoise waters, surrounded by fig trees and natural shade—an ideal setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. In the afternoon, begin your return journey by vehicle to Moshi or transfer to the airport, concluding your memorable Kilimanjaro foothills adventure.

Depending on your onward travel plans, you may enjoy some free time before departure and transfer back to Moshi / next destination.
